For volunteers with their own tent and a tight a budget, Camp In London is offering rates from a very affordable £10* per person per night for a minimum 7-night stay, a saving of up to £15 per night! Camp In London Try a Sports Program

Camp In London is offering a try a sports program for campers and local residents.

Campers and local residents on the completion of a registration form will be able to visit the drop in area to try their hand at a variety of sports including netball, athletics, volleyball, touch rugby and tag rugby.

All equipment will be provided and qualified instructors will be on hand to offer skill based coaching sessions. Time schedule will be up on the website once confirmed.

Camp in London in a association with www.uksportsclub.com is also organising 5 sports festivals for teams to participate in.

All local clubs will get a 50% reduction in the registration fee.

Zimfest 2012 tickets on sale

EXPERIENCE A MULTI-CULTURAL CAMP WITH ZIMFEST 2012

Now in its 12th year running, Zimfest is an annual outdoor music, food and cultural event. Taking place on Saturday 11 August 2012, this year the celebration of Zimbabwe and South Africa will be part of the festivities of Camp In London.

Located at E17 8AX, Walthamstow, the site is just a 5-minute shuttle bus ride from the Olympic Park and has a camping capacity of 5,000 people.

The 140 metre bar, DJs, live music and traditional South African markets on offer at Zimfest provide a platform for Zimbabwean expats to unite. Zimfest brings together Zimbabweans and South Africans from across the cultural spectrum and welcomes non-Zims to join in this unique, colourful celebration.

The 2011 event, despite heavy rain, drew a crowd of 3,500 people. A full bar served all palates with traditional Southern African food. The markets serviced the shopaholics while the sporting tournaments kept the energetic on their toes throughout the day.

The plethora of activities on offer is of course complimented by the varying live music and entertainment, all celebrating the sounds of Zimbabwe. Last years’ line up included names like the UK-based Zimbabwean singer/songwriter Tinashe as well as Bkay & Kazz, Munkinpure and Kamikaze Test Pilots. DJ sets by Brandon Block, Matt James (Sinners DJs) and more, rocked the decks.

This year’s acts are yet to be confirmed but one thing is for sure, with crowds of 10,000 people expected, this year’s event is going to be bigger and better than ever! Onsite camping is also available for festival-goers, starting at an affordable £15pp per night.

Superbowl Sunday

The NFL comes to a close with possibly one of the biggest games on the planet “The Superbowl”

What better why to watch the Superbowl than on our 24 foot mega screen, and loads of plasma TV’s around the place also.

This year sees Superbowl XLV1 played in Indianapolis with kick off around 1am Monday morning.

UK Sports club are proud to team up with one of the best venues in London, The Clapham Grand. There will be plenty of entertainment with cheerleaders, giveaways etc.

Our doors open at 9pm with a highlight reel of previous Superbowls over the years. The build up and the game itself will be shown from 10.45pm till the winners are crowned in the early hours of Monday morning.

We have general admission that is £10 per person (first 100 through the door recieve a free beer) and also VIP tables (8pax) at £20 per person which includes a hotdog and beer on arrival.

UK Sports Club and In 2 Touch Announce Ground Breaking Partnership

UK Sports Club and In 2 Touch are both extremely excited to announce a ground breaking partnership which will see touch players benefit from the best of both organisations.

From February 2012 onwards, In 2 Touch will be taking over all the running and organisation of all the touch rugby leagues previously run by UK Sports Club/Premiership Touch Rugby to include the London venues of Putney/Barn Elms, Clapham Common and Richmond.

Players and teams will now be able to register for all of these leagues, along with the normal London leagues run by In 2 Touch, on the In 2 Touch website at www.in2touch.com/uk

UK Sports Club will be running a host of one-day sporting events as well as hosting the In 2 Touch London Leagues finals days in Spring and Summer.

In 2012 the Pre-Season Cup will be in its 6th year and will be bigger than ever!
For the first time the Pre-Season Cup will be over 2 days and offer camping at Camp In London.

The Pre-Season Cup will be held at the same time as the 2012 Olympics and will be the must attend Rugby Festival of 2012.
The Pre-Season Rugby Cup is a 2 day tournament designed to solve your pre-season coaching needs and team bonding all in one!
Team entry is £300 and includes festival tickets or £720 which also includes camping for 3 nights.
Your team is guaranteed at least five 20 minute games. This is your chance to try old and new players alike in different combinations, with breaks between your games for the opportunity to make changes and reflect on performances. Also a great chance for team bonding before the season starts.
There will also be plenty of entertainment available including a festival stage, live bands and DJ, 240 meters long worth of bars and food marquees, kids areas, international sports stars, big screens to watch the Olympics and VIP bars.

London Touch Champs Registration Now Open

27, 28 & 29 July 2012 – 13th London Touch Champs

On this massive weekend, touch teams from across London will battle it out to see who is the best team in London, and earn bragging rights for 2012.

The London Champs is the longest running one-day touch tournament in the UK and this year it will be even bigger with three HUGE days of action at the Olympic campsite, Camp In London in Walthamstow.

The tournament will take place on the opening weekend of the Olympics, on the 27 – 29 July. It will cost £500 to register your team of 12 people team; this includes three nights of camping and free admission to the onsite festival area.

The onsite entertainment zone will feature the Olympics opening ceremony on the large outdoor screen plus a varied festival environment.
