Wooden Spoon is the charity of British and Irish Rugby supporting mentally, physically disadvantaged children. It is this year’s Church Charity Sports Day charity of choice.

Spoon’s objective is to make a positive impact on the lives of disadvantaged children and young people through our commitment to quality charitable work…

UK Sports Club to Deliver Bournemouth 7′s Touch Rugby

The 2012 Bournemouth 7’s festival is going to be even bigger and better than previous years with 20,000 people expected to attend. UK Sports Club are going to be making sure that the Touch Rugby Competition lives up to the play hard, party hard ethos of the festival.

The Men’s division is full however there are still 4 spots left for the mixed division.

Green Initiatives Showen By Olympic Accomodation Provider

A primary ethos of the London Olympics 2012 is minimal environmental impact and the promotion of sustainability. In celebration and support of this, Camp In London is excited to introduce a number of green initiatives for the 19-day camping festival.

The adoption of a ‘zero to landfill’ policy will see event organisers recycling most of the onsite waste. Everything unsuitable for recycling will be used to create renewable energy.

Teaming up with The London Bicycle Tour Company will allow campers easily to discover the green spaces, explore the local shopping or travel to the Olympics in a quick, easy and green journey.

Waterless has also come to the camping party with waterless washing facilities for hair and body. All of their products are designed to use with no water for an eco-friendly full body clean.

In today’s climate, cost-effective local sourcing is more important than ever. As such Camp In London have created relationships with local suppliers and service providers. Go green – go local.

On site parking restrictions encourage all campers to use public transport links to get to the site. Aside from a handful of Wicked Campers, no vehicles are allowed on the site.

If you haven’t heard of it, then here is the lowdown; it’s an epicurean’s delight, a celebration of the finest British food, ales and cider in the midst of summer. It’s Eat Festival, taking place from 28 July – 5 August at Camp In London, during the 2012 Olympic Games.

Eat Festival will feature over 60 different market stalls and street food vendors offering some of the most diverse cuisines available in the United Kingdom.

Sample quality produce from local organic farmers, cheese and cider makers, bakers and curers, just to name a few! Eat Festival will consist of a hearty smorgasbord of fine food and beverage options for even the keenest of connoisseurs.

Welcome the culinary traditions of an array of cultures as people across the globe unite to celebrate the multi-ethnicity of London and embrace the spirit of the Olympic Games.
